HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT

            The basic objective of our Night College is to give opportunity of studying higher education to those who are unable to attend regular colleges as they are employed is part time jobs or private sector during day time. ‘Earn and Learn’ is the basis of our college. We think that knowledge is power & we aim at human perfection.

            We offer opportunity to learn Higher Education to those who are unable to continue education owing to financial difficulties. Hence ‘Maratha Samaj Seva Mandal’ which was established in 1962, started senior college for the same purpose in 1989. The commerce faculty was opened in the same year.

            Commerce department has established to play a crucial role in overall development of students of commerce faculty.

            Commerce faculty has always tried lists level best to give opportunities in commerce, Accountancy and secretarial Practice. This is an age of competition. So we aim at the career development of our students.

FACULTY OF THE DEPARTMENT

            The primary goal of the faculty is to help students to achieve greater self-direction. The department has seven qualified and experienced faculties. Prof. Dr. Barbole .A. N. is working as a Head of Department and Prof. Admane . D.B. shares his shoulders. Both  are working very sincerely for the students. They are organizes various programmes through commerce association along with Dr. Vhanbindge V. P., Prof .Mane A.B., Prof. Mitragotri. A.G., Prof. Gaikwad N. S, and Prof .Dargopatil P. M.

            All the faculty members are efficient, punctual and sincere in their duties. The department consciously an encourages the faculty members to expound their knowledge. College sponsors faculty members for attending faculty development programme organized by leading university. Colleges and Institutes faculty members are deputed for attending Conferences, seminars and workshops to update their knowledge. All the faculties are completed their orientation and refresher courses and regularly participated in the seminars, workshops and conferences etc. to upgrade their subject knowledge.
